Changes to the list of Statements of Principles, January 2020
On 2 January 2020 changes were made to the list of Australian Statements of Principles that apply in New Zealand. The Statements of Principles are a tool to determine if an injury, illness or death is service-related.
The Veterans' Support Amendment Regulations (No 4) 2019 brought into force 22 replacement Statements of Principles.
These Statements of Principles cover:
- anal fissure
- conductive hearing loss
- irritable bowel syndrome
- malignant neoplasm of the bladder
- Morton metatarsalgia – name has changed from "Morton's metatarsalgia"
- obstructive and reflux nephropathy
- renal stone disease
- schistosomiasis
- strongyloidiasis
- subarachnoid haemorrhage
- varicocoele – name has changed from "varicocele".
